Ep #158 – Fierce with Heidi Abdelhady, MD

Fierce

So many of us have been told that being fierce is bad or wrong.  Today’s conversation is with Heidi Abdelhady, MD, a woman who embraces and embodies fierce as part of who she is.  Together we’ll explore what being fierce means, how it positively affects others, and why it’s essential for an authentic life.

About Dr. Abdelhady – she is a triple board certified critical care and pulmonary medicine physician, with both academia and community teaching hospital experience.  She’s initiated new programs in the ICU, led departments, founded committees, and served as a physician leader in the diversity, equity and inclusion space at the national level.  She is also a fierce advocate for equity for women physicians,  K-12 public education, and special education in Maryland.  In addition, she is a skilled home cook and storyteller.

Dr. Abdelhady is founder of Critical Care Continuum, LLC, a consulting company focused on helping hospitals with their rapid response, code blue, and pulmonary embolism response teams.  You can find her:
