Biography |
I am an ex-international level athlete with a passion for health and fitness. A Kiwi-born California I reside in Los Angeles with my partner Rebecca and we stay active skiing, surfing, and trail running. I also lead my small group of newbies who motivate me with their dedication to show up 3 xs per week at my outdoor home gym facility in Studio City California. I am fascinated by new technology and how people engage and sustain their engagement via app and web-based platforms. During my college years, we studied and experimented with the early adoption of HR monitors and dietary interventions in Rugby performance. These tools we now have for health, fitness, and athletic performance drive my professional curiosity in patient engagement in rehabilitation.

Additional Information |
I work at OPUM Technologies with our first product the Digital Knee.
I am inspired by technological advances in patient engagement in orthopedic rehabilitation and how these tools can augment traditional care and engagement methods to improve patient compliance and the resulting outcomes. Our mission at OPUM Technologies is to, ‘keep people moving’ through prehab engagement and the patient rehabilitation journey. We do this via app-based patient engagement in rehab care plans married with artificial intelligence sensors built into existing orthosis and wearables to gain objective data to improve patient education and communication with the care team. Remote patient monitoring for orthopedics with a focus on objective data to drive compliance. How do you know if your outcomes are a result of surgery or rehabilitation? How do you currently monitor patient compliance?
