Biography

My career started in B2B sales, then transitioned to medical devices. I spent a number of years in the Operating Room watching some of the most talented surgeons operate. While learning from the clinicians and providers, I also spent time learning from the purchasers, the supply chain executives, on how the system operated.

I’ve worked for the leading companies in orthopedics, distribution, and the genetics space. The difference in all 3 is that the genetics company only cared about removing obstacles and providing the utmost transparency. From my point of view the device and distribution companies cared about margin.

At OptioSurgical, we are committed to driving transparency with the clinicians. I will not believe that surgeons don’t care about price, the years of blaming the providers for the cost of care needs to end. There isn’t just one responsible party in this process.
