On this episode we will be discussing how hospitals and other care delivery organizations can respond to the crisis in the short term from a business and financial perspective and identify and capitalize on opportunities to become stronger institutions once we emerge from the crisis.

Today’s guest is Dr. Timothy Mescon an expert in business, leadership, and responding to adversity.

Tim Mescon, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is executive vice president and chief officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for AACSB International, the oldest and largest accreditor of business schools in the world. He is President Emeritus of Columbus State University in Georgia, where he served from 2008 to 2014. During his time there he brought the institution to prominence as it was named one of the top 50 Universities in the South and in the top 35 for online business and education by US news and world report.

Previously, he served as dean and Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair for 18 years at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. He is the author of more than 200 articles and case studies, and he has coauthored four books, including Entrepreneurship: Venture Initiation, Management and Development.

Tim was also a principle at The Mescon Group, a multidisciplinary consulting firm, which provided business process reengineering consulting services to companies around the country. This work included many hospitals and healthcare systems as clients – on projects ranging from enterprise redesign to strategic planning.

For 6 consecutive years Tim was named one of the 100 most influential Georgians.
