Interesting presentations today at the MIT Hacking Medicine Digital Health 2021 event by the Apple Health team.

Anyone have any experience using Apple ResearchKit to perform research or publish? Seems like a pretty customizable platform but not clear if there is integration with PROMs and instruments like HOOS, KOOS, Oswestry, WOMAC, etc.

I personally haven’t used it yet, but I’m somewhat familiar with that and the CareKit platforms.

It seems they’re basically a set of tools you can easily embed into your existing apps to better/more-easily capture, render and handle that data.

I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with any of these yet. As you mentioned in that primer – big tech has big plans for these spaces so it’s interesting to say abreast of their contributions.

I believe Dexcom has extracted data from the Apple Health integrations to inform a number of publications…And collect data for clinical trials. This is a good reminder to reach out to someone there and have them join + contribute to this group!
