We are also a big proponent of Iovera. We use it in the pre-operative setting as well as for patients with chronic knee pain who wish to avoid surgical intervention. Who wants to know more?

Iovera has always seemed like a great idea, but I don’t know much about the logistics of adopting it into one’s practice. Does it need pre-approval, if so, is it tedious for your team to get it? Or do patients just pay cash for it? If I remember correctly it just freezes the nerves around the knee… How soon before getting a total knee do you get it? What % of the time does it work? What is the average length of pain relief? Has it helped draw in more patient due to word of mouth with less pain? Interested in getting your take on it as well as Dr. Dasa’s. Thanks
