Biography

Anthony M. Werner is currently Chief Executive Officer of Patient Advocate International a non-profit patient advocacy organization he founded in 2019. Anthony through Patient Advocate International has helped many critically and terminally children and adults navigate the healthcare system from inception of care to fiduciary responsibility.

Additional Information

Having worked in the healthcare system for over 30 years Anthony has held positions in clinical, health plans, and provider operations while also teaching medical billing and coding and medical office administration as an adjunct professor and department chair for many institutions. Anthony has consulted for healthcare providers, payers, and healthplans. Anthony as an entrepreneur has also successfully owned and operated a successful medical coding and billing organization in the tristate area and is a consultant for Zi-Medical a medical device regulatory affairs firm.  Anthony is a recognized expert in medical and pharmaceutical prior authorization and appeals, medical policy, pain management, and clinical trials. Anthony has is a provisional patent holder for a medication to reduce the opioid epidemic.

 

Anthony is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a graduate of Keller School of Graduate Studies where he earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare. Anthony a New York and New Jersey native now lives in Buford, Georgia with his wife and three children.
